Val Rhodes — Director of Online Member Services
Coach Val Rhodes leads JEBBS’s online training with one-on-one consultations through the 12‑Month Versatility Workout package. Known as the “Shot Doctor,” he has 40+ years of coaching experience in the Dallas–Fort Worth area, including roles as a high school head coach (three schools) and Lead Coach for the Dallas Mavericks Hoop Camp for two decades. A two‑time Teacher of the Year and five‑time Co-District Coach of the Year, he also served as President of the Dallas High School Coaches Association and was inducted into the Brownwood, TX Gordon Wood Hall of Champions (2021).
As a shooting specialist with Basketball Shooting LLC, his players have successfully advanced to NCAA Division I, the NBA, and international professional leagues.
Justin Dentmon — Coach
A former NBA player with a 15‑year professional career, Justin played for prominent teams like the San Antonio Spurs, Toronto Raptors, Dallas Mavericks, and even starred internationally in the EuroLeague—winning the prestigious EuroLeague title with Žalgiris Kaunas and earning league-leading scorer honors in Israel. In the NBA D-League, he was named MVP, and in 2011–12, he was selected to the All-NBA D-League First Team.
Post-playing career, Justin has served as a coach at high-profile basketball events, including the NBA Draft, Portsmouth Invitational, and Basketball Without Borders. Now, he guides JEBBS athletes globally, bringing pro-level insight into scoring, decision-making, and guard development
James Brown — Founder and Head Coach
James Brown established JEBBS in 1995 and brings nearly 30 years of coaching from youth to professional levels. With a background in counseling and coaching, Coach Brown emphasizes responsibility, confidence, teamwork, and discipline both on and off the court. Highlights from his career include:
- Leading Eastfield College to back-to-back conference championships (1983–84)
- Winning the UK National Championship with Glenavon Basketball Club (1988)
- Serving as assistant coach at Navarro Jr. College (1990–91), achieving a 24–7 record and setting a record for highest-scoring junior college team.
- Maintaining a remarkable 90% win rate with youth and AAU programs (1995–2010).
- Trainer to Tausha Mills, a 2000 WNBA first-round pick.

Gabby Gregory, a standout athlete, began her journey at JEB Basketball School in 3rd grade and has since earned recognition as a top player in collegiate basketball. She was named to the 2024 Women’s College All-Star Game and earned All-Big 12 honors. Gabby scored over 1,700 career points and was a key player in the Big 12, earning a spot on the All-Big 12 First Team in 2022-23. Wade Taylor IV
Wade Taylor IV, now a star at Texas A&M, credits his success to the mentorship of Coach Lesley Booker and the transformative training he received at JEB Basketball School. After joining the Rising Stars program during high school, Wade’s game reached new heights under the guidance of Coach Booker and Coach Brown.
